Zambia

Southern Africa

Zambia is a true African wilderness, with wide open spaces rich in wildlife and with one of the lowest population densities in the world.

With some of the greatest natural scenery on the continent, Zambia is a blend of gently undulating plateaus of forests, savannah and marshland - studded with lakes and impressive waterfalls.

Visit the greatest waterfall of them all, Victoria Falls, on the border with Zimbabwe, and the town of Livingstone, the adventure capital of Africa
Skirt the crocodiles and yawning hippos as you float down the mighty Zambezi River in Lower Zambezi National Park or take a walking safari through South Luangwa National Park with its extraordinary diversity of wildlife.

This is where you can expect to see the very rare wild dog and the endemic Thornicroft's giraffe with its distinctive patterns, as well as big cats, elephants, buffalo and a multitude of antelope Zambia is a large, landlocked country in southern Africa. It is bordered by a total of ten other countries, including Namibia, Botswana, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

Zambia is not a country where the 'African' experience has been neatly packaged for the tourist. It is a huge, raw and underdeveloped country that offers a genuine African experience in a beautiful, diverse country populated with friendly, accommodating people.
